The area around Bormes les Mimosas and La Londe les Maures offers exceptional views of the Mediterranean Sea. Its sandy soils give the wine from this region a salty flavor, and it has been fortunate enough to be awarded the AOP Côtes de Provence La Londe Les Maures label, one of the five terroir designations of the AOP Côtes de Provence recognized in 2008.
The Domaine Sainte Marie, located in Bormes les Mimosas, dates back to the 18th century. At that time, these lands belonged to the Chartreuse de la Verne, located a little higher up in the Massif des Maures. Today, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, and oak trees, the statue of the Virgin Mary continues to watch over the estate and its buildings with affectionate benevolence. Marvel at the Sainte-Marie vineyard, which covers 40 hectares. Facing south, the terroir consists of sandy, permeable soil.
Château Galoupet, nestled in La Londe-les-Maures, is an iconic Provence wine estate and one of the few Côtes-de-Provence Crus Classés since 1955. Overlooking a sumptuous Mediterranean landscape, with views of the sea and the Îles d’Or, the estate stretches across vast lands where vines, umbrella pines, olive trees, and palm trees blend harmoniously. The estate is best known for its gourmet rosés, made from typical Provençal grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, and Tibouren.
