Behind its glamorous image and sun-drenched beaches lies one of France’s oldest vine-growing regions. In fact, Provence is the oldest wine-growing region in France, did you know ?

A terroir between land and sea,
The vine-growing region of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez enjoys an exceptional environment. The Massif des. Maures offers schiste and sandy-clay soils, giving the wines a fine minerality and aromatic finesse. The influence of the sea moderates temperatures, encouraging slow, gradual ripening of the grapes, which is essential for producing balanced, elegant wines, that are specific of our terroir form Provence.
The grape varieties typical of the region are varied and carefully selected to fully express the character of the terroir. Grenache, Cinsault and. Mourvèdre for fresh, aromatic rosés. Syrah and Tibouren are also found. Tibouren is an emblematic grape variety of Provence, giving the wines a unique and refined identity. This local grape variety is notably present in certain cuvées of the Domaine de la Giscle, Cave Torpez.

Exceptional Appellation wines and expertise,
Today, the vineyards of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez are part of the Appellation d’Origine Protégée (AOP) Côtes de. Provence, guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of the wines produced. The rosés, the real signature of the region, seduce with their freshness, fruity and floral aromas, and their characteristic pale colour. But local vinegrowers also produce excellent white and red wines, offering a diversity that will delight lovers of fine vintages. In Provence, around 85% of the wine produced is rosé, 12% for red wines and 3% for white wines.
The vinegrowing estates in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez perpetuate ancestral know-how while incorporating modern, environmentally-friendly practices. Organic farming and biodynamic viticulture are playing an increasingly important role, demonstrating a strong commitment to preserving this exceptional natural heritage.
