Port Grimaud is a must-see and one of the largest port on the Côte d’Azur. Inspired by Venice and Provence, you’ll find yourself immersed in the heart of canals, bridges, houses lined with boats… Hence its nickname “Little Venice of the South”. The atmosphere is warm and colorful, especially in winter when time seems to stand still.
In 1962, an architect decided to build a lake city on a marsh in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Over 1000 fishermen’s houses were built, each with access to the sea and a ring for a boat. This innovative idea was a hit, and Port Grimaud became a must-see destination on the Côte d’Azur. Today, the town’s lovers and inhabitants want to preserve the charm of these colorful houses, narrow streets and heritage.
